Scholarship Deadline is 1 May Annually

Applications are now being accepted for the 2011 Scholarship Program

1 May 2011 is the cut-off for 2011 applications.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE  
 
Application packets are not available on the web site.  All applications must be requested from the AAAA Scholarship Foundation. 
 
To apply, the applicant should request a Scholarship Grant/Loan Application from:

Return the completed application to the AAAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc., on or before May 1 of the year of college entry. The postmark will govern. Additional supporting data that the applicant will be requested to provide includes: 
 
a References - to be completed by two individuals who are aware of the applicant's abilities and potential.  
 
a School Recommendation - to be completed by an individual who has direct, personal knowledge of the applicant's overall performance as a secondary school or college student.  
 
a Teacher's Recommendation - to be completed by a teacher who has direct, personal knowledge of the applicant's classroom performance.  
 
a Academic Reporting Form - to be completed by the appropriate official in the applicant's school who has access to the applicant's academic history: for all applicants, grade point percentage; for entering freshmen, class rank and test scores. Mandatory for all applicants.  
 
a Essay - For Graduate Student Applicants only. The applicant must submit a 250-word essay about your life experiences, work history, and aspirations. Note ? our receipt of this essay is mandatory.  
 
a Current transcript of Grades - the official grade transcript for the applicant's secondary school or college must be provided. Mandatory for all applicants. Graduate applicants must also provide their undergraduate grade transcript.  
 
a Photograph - a photograph is requested to be used for publicity purposes.   
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

All applicants must be:

  • A member of AAAA
  • The spouse of an AAAA member or deceased member
  • The unmarried son or daughter of an AAAA member or deceased member
  • The unmarried brother or sister of an AAAA member or deceased member
  • The unmarried grandchild of an AAAA member or deceased member

 

The applicant must be attending an accredited college or university or be selected for Fall entry as an undergraduate or graduate.

In all instances, the member's effective date of AAAA membership must be on or before May 1 of the previous year in which the applicant is seeking aid unless the member is deceased.

Applicants who will be attending a Service Academy are ineligible for a grant or loan.

No recipient can hold concurrent AAAA Scholarships.
